Turning Attendees into Trading Cards at APTA 2026

At APTA 2026 in Chicago, Popshap brought a personal touch to the booth experience with an interactive photobooth that turned attendee photos into custom trading cards. Paired with a 43-inch touchscreen kiosk, the activation invited visitors to choose a journey and see themselves in an AI-generated scene before receiving a printed keepsake. Each card featured the attendee’s image on the front and a QR code for lead generation on the back. This gave visitors something personal to take home while creating a clear next step for continued engagement. Vertical LED displays supported the activation with branded visuals that carried the booth’s message into the surrounding exhibit space.

Interactive Photo Experience

The touchscreen kiosk gave attendees a direct way to take part in the booth activation. Visitors could choose a journey and create a personalized AI-generated photo, placing themselves inside an imaginative scene tied to the experience.

Personalized Trading Cards

The photobooth and printer turned each participant’s image into a physical trading card. With their own photo featured on the front, attendees received a keepsake that made the booth experience feel personal and gave them a reason to carry it beyond the show floor.

QR Code Lead Generation

The back of each card included a QR code and an invitation to share the visitor’s experience. Designed to support lead generation, this gave participants a simple next step they could access from their phones, whether at the booth or after leaving the activation.

Branded Digital Displays

Vertical LED displays added motion and branded messaging to the booth’s structural columns. Alongside the kiosk’s custom interface and photo gallery, they helped create a consistent visual experience from the surrounding aisle to the photo activation.

Choose a Journey and Step into the Experience

Popshap paired the interactive photobooth with a branded touchscreen kiosk to bring the activation into the booth environment. The opening screen invited visitors to choose a journey, while the camera captured the image used to create their personalized photo.

The AI-generated scenes placed attendees in imaginative travel and exploration settings. A photo gallery displayed the finished images on the kiosk, giving visitors a visual preview of the experience and showing the range of personalized results.

Turn the Photo into a Takeaway

The printed trading card extended the experience beyond the touchscreen. Each card featured the participant’s personalized image on the front, framed within a branded design that tied the keepsake back to the booth.

Printing was part of the activation, giving the digital photo a physical format attendees could hold, show others, and take with them. The combination of a creative image and a compact card made the takeaway an extension of the interaction itself.

Give Every Card a Next Step

The reverse side of the trading card added a practical purpose to the personalized giveaway. A prominent QR code invited attendees to share their experience through a digital step designed to support lead generation.

Because the code traveled with the card, the invitation remained accessible after the attendee left the booth. This approach brought photo engagement, a branded keepsake, and a follow-up opportunity into one experience.
